Dr.R.Vijai Kumar, son of an illustrious doctor, had his education in the rural towns and villages of Andhra Pradesh. Dr.Vijai Kumar graduated from Kakatiya Medical college, and became the youngest doctor in his batch at the age of 22 years.
Dr.Vijai Kumar specialized in Lung Diseases (MD and DTCD) in 1980. He served as an assistant Professor at Osmania Medical College and in the department of Pulmonary Intensive Care Unit for almost 9 years at AP General & Chest Hospital.
Dr.Vijai Kumar visited USA as an International fellow of American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) and after his return to India started department of Pulmonary Medicine & Respiratory Intensive Care Unit at MediCiti Hospital, Hyderabad. Dr.R.Vijai Kumar spent 13 years at MediCiti hospital as Head of the Department, then 12 years at Yashoda Hospital Secunderabad as Head of the Department, and briefly for 15 monthsat Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills as the Head of the Department. After an exemplary service to patients over the last 37 years, Dr.R.Vijai Kumar is providing Consultation services exclusively at Hyderabad Chest Centre. |
